and cutting edge Creative Staff.

 

An in-house, on-line High Definition editing suite enables Translight Pictures to take a project
from concept through final product delivery.

 

 

Who we are

 

Matthew Earl Jones: President & CEO

 

Matthew Earl Jones has twenty years experience in production. Born in New York City and raised in New Canaan, Connecticut, Matthew graduated Dartmouth College, and worked for BBD&O and American Home Products Corporation. He has worked on both sides of the camera in film, television and commercials, and in the music industry.

 

His clients include: Bandai America, Castrol, Chevrolet, Home Depot, Honda, Lipton, McDonald’s, Nissan, Nissin Foods, Nivea, PacBell Wireless, Porsche, Raytheon, Subaru, Suntory, Toyota, Yamaha, and Ziploc.

 

Matthew Earl Jones is the son of late actor Robert Earl Jones and half-brother of actor
James Earl Jones.



Kent Hughes: Vice President & Head of Production

Kent Hughes is an award-winning Producer/Director with twenty five years production experience.

His film credits include: “Broken Arrow”, “Child’s Play 2”, “Eraser”, “Executive Decision”, “L.A.P.D.: To Protect and to Serve”, and “Menace II Society”.

His television credits include: “Saints & Sinners”, “Desire”, and “Watch Over Me” for Fox TV; the TV series “Profiler”, and numerous TV commercials and Music Videos.

Prior to joining Translight Pictures, Mr. Hughes worked on “Takezo Kensei”, which ran in conjunction with NBC’s “Heroes” on the web.

 

Nino Mihilli: Director of Business Development

 

Nino Mihilli brings over ten years experience in Global Finance & Marketing. He has an international background in the Latin, European and Middle Eastern Markets, in both the Business-to-Business, and Business-to-Consumer sectors. He graduated from Arizona State University with a Degree in Small Business Entrepreneurship.  Mr. Mihilli is also an Award Winning Screen Writer.

 

 

Stacy Laabs: Chief Technical Officer

 

Stacy Laabs has over fifteen years in the technical industry. She specializes in Global Broadcasting satellite coordination and international distribution. Her background includes programming, social networks and video production. Ms. Laabs’ clients include Turner Broadcasting and the National Guard. She is also a professional screenwriter.


Darren LaGrego: Music Supervisor

 

Darren LaGrego the former owner of New York Indie Record Label Venom Records, has been part of the NYC music “scene” for over fifteen years. A professional musician himself, he has managed talent, tours, concerts and other live events. From music recording to publishing, marketing and distribution Mr. LaGrego has a demonstrated “ear” for talent.
